Personalized Prenatal Care: Guided Support for the Modern Toronto Family
Your journey to parenthood is unique. Your preparation should be, too.
At Mindful Sprouts Family Services, we believe that prenatal education shouldn’t be a "one-size-fits-all" experience in a crowded hospital basement. We provide high-end, 1:1 prenatal support and customized education for expectant families across Toronto and the GTA.
Whether you are seeking a compassionate professional to navigate the emotional landscape of pregnancy or a technical expert to help you master the mechanics of labour, Leah Jackson offers a boutique approach to birth preparation.

Your Questions, Answered
-
Convenience: We bring the classroom to you. By hosting sessions in your home in Toronto, Etobicoke, North York, or the GTA, you skip the stress of city traffic and parking, learning in the very environment where you’ll spend your early postpartum days.
Customization: Unlike generic group settings, our time is 100% focused on your medical history, your specific birth location (whether it's Mount Sinai or your own living room), and your family dynamics.
Expertise: You aren't just getting a teacher; you are gaining a partner who is a Certified Childbirth Educator, experienced Birth & Postpartum Doula, Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, and Waterbirth Support Person (trained by Birthpedia/Waterbirth International).

We serve families throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Aurora & Newmarket, North York, Etobicoke, Brampton, and downtown Toronto near our home base in Little Italy.
-
Absolutely. Many families choose a "Hybrid" approach, combining a 3-hour Hospital Prep Workshop with a series of Prenatal Yoga sessions. We can create a custom package that fits your schedule and goals.
-
Yes. Our education is evidence-based and clinical. We provide specialized support for twin births, planned Cesareans, and VBAC preparation, ensuring you feel empowered regardless of your medical path.
-
This is a core focus of our private care. Many partners feel like "spare tires" in a traditional medical setting. We provide direct, hands-on coaching to turn your partner into a confident advocate and support person. We practice specific comfort measures and communication tools together so they know exactly how to help you when the time comes.
-
While doula services and private prenatal education are not currently covered by OHIP, many extended health care plans (HSA or Wellness accounts) will reimburse for "Birth Doula" or "Childbirth Education" services. We provide detailed receipts for all sessions. We also offer sliding scale options for families in the GTA—please reach out to discuss your needs.
-
At Mindful Sprouts Family Services, we are deeply committed to reproductive justice and inclusive care. We recognize that queer and trans families often navigate unique systemic challenges and barriers within the traditional healthcare system. To honour your journey and help increase access to gender-affirming, supportive prenatal education, we offer a 10% discount for all LGBTQ+ families on our private classes and workshops. Whether you are navigating a twin birth, a gestational carrier journey, or a solo-parenting path, you are seen and celebrated here.
-
Not at all. While we love guiding first-time parents through the "unknowns," our private sessions are equally valuable for those who have given birth before. Many of our clients are seeking a different experience this time around—perhaps preparing for a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean), planning their first home birth after a previous hospital delivery, or simply wanting a refresher on comfort measures and mindfulness. We tailor the curriculum to build on what you already know while addressing any past birth trauma or new goals for this pregnancy.
-
Absolutely. You do not need any prior yoga experience to benefit from our wellness sessions. These classes are not about achieving "perfect" poses; they are about functional movement, pelvic floor awareness, and nervous system regulation. We move at a pace that feels restorative for your body, and every movement is adapted to your current stage of pregnancy and comfort level. It is a gentle, supportive way to connect with your baby and your body, even if you’ve never stepped onto a yoga mat before.
