We focus 100% of our rental services on supporting families who are planning an empowering home water birth right here in Toronto.
Our signature Comprehensive Birth Pool Kit is the ultimate, all-inclusive solution optimized for deep relaxation, natural pain management, and comfort during your planned home birth. We provide the exact specialized tools, sterile accessories, and step-by-step education you need to feel fully confident, supported, and in control as you welcome your baby in the comfort of your own home.

Note: We regret that we no longer offer free drop-off and pick-up. Drop-off and pick-up fees apply depending on distance. Alternatively, for no added cost you can pick-up and drop-off to our central hub near Ossington and Dundas St W in Toronto.

Kaya Birthing Stool
Our personal Kaya birth stool is water submergible, lightweight, and supportive. It can be use at home or hospital births and even in the shower — to facilitate movement in labour and birth.
Birth stool for rent from 38 weeks for $75 + HST if rented on its own.

Birth Pool and Stool Rental FAQs

The birthing stool is an optional labour & birth aid which can help to facilitate shorter labour and reduced maternal exhaustion. It is highly recommended to have a suitable birthing stool at your labour, so if you plan to birth at home or in a hospital which does not supply a birthing stool, it may be a good choice for you.
The World Health Organization recommends freedom of position and mobility in labour and the encourages non-supine (upright) positioning. The Kaya Birth Stool is designed to facilitates this and can be used in the shower or tub, since it is fully submersible. It is lightweight enough to bring with you to your birthing center.

The personal Kaya stool that we have available to rent is lightweight yet safely holds up to 400lbs.

The pool filled with water and people in/on it will weigh up to 657kg +
If not on ground floor, it is recommended to inquiry with a wood preservation company to check the integrity of the home’s floor boards and joists.
Furthermore, it is also important to determine your hot water supply in order to sufficiently fill the tub with warm enough water.

Yes! Labouring in water is extremely helpful at all stages of labour, and many birthing individuals benefit from an early labour in and out of the birth pool even if they plan to go to the hospital for birth at a later point.
The pool may even be used in pregnancy for a relaxing experience within the rental period, and to encourage natural induction from 38 weeks. However, the tub liners are one-time-use only so a new liner is required (available through Mindful Sprouts for $75 each) on each different occasion that the tub is used during the rental period.

Yes! We will deliver and pick-up your brith rental pool/equipment if you live within any of our service neighbourhoods including: Toronto, Etobicoke, Aurora, Barrie, Collingwood, Thornbury (and surrounding)
Rent a birth stool or pool and have it delivered to you by your 38 week mark. If you would like an extended rental period or help with set-up/dismantling the birth pool, an additional fee applies.
