Compassionate Death Doula & Bereavement Support in Toronto & the GTA
What Does a Death Doula Do?
A death doula (also known as an end-of-life doula or grief doula) walks alongside you to offer holistic, non-medical support. We bridge the gap between medical care and the human need for comfort, conversation, and peace.
Our care is grounded in mindfulness, trauma-informed grief work, and practical family support. We are here to comfort the person who is passing and wrap a circle of care around the loved ones left behind.
How We Support You & Your Family
Grief Support & Facilitated Conversation: Safe, gentle dialogue to process complex emotions, fears, memories, and hopes.
Legacy Work & Life Celebration: Meaningful support to honor a life story—including organizing family photo albums, audio or video recordings for loved ones left behind, writing down cherished memories, and helping carry out final wishes and personal bucket lists.
Mindfulness Meditation & Sound Healing: Guided mindfulness, soothing soundscapes, and breathwork to ease anxiety and promote stillness.
Sensitive Comfort Care & Mindful Touch: Gentle touch, comfort massage, and assistance with bed position changes to ease discomfort for those in terminal care.
Navigating Hard Conversations with Children: Honest, developmentally appropriate guidance on how to speak to kids about illness, dying, and grief—including helping parents navigate the loss of their own parent.
Palliative Caregiving Support: Practical help at the bedside—whether at home, in a hospice, or in a hospital setting.
Family & Bereavement Photography: Respectful, tender documentary-style photography to capture meaningful final moments, hand-holding, or remembrance honourings.
On-Call Childcare: Relieving stress for grieving parents by providing trusted, grounded care for children during critical moments, hospital stays, or memorial prep.
Household Support & Meal Planning: Practical help around the home to lighten your daily load, including light housekeeping, gentle meal preparation, and setting up or organizing community meal trains for family care.
