Toronto Postpartum Doula | Premium Restoration & Night Care
The transition into parenthood is a profound transformation that deserves a sanctuary of care. Whether you are navigating the halls of Mount Sinai or St. Joseph’s after a complicated birth, or settling into your home in Etobicoke, North York, or the Downtown Core, we provide the expert soft landing your family needs.
While I am based in the vibrant Ossington neighbourhood, my mission is to provide the highest standard of postpartum care to families throughout the entire Greater Toronto Area and beyond.
Pillars of Our Care:
Always Connected: Direct, fast, and reliable text support during your postpartum window from the moment you book. Consider me the "expert in your pocket" for every question or new parent concern.
Immediate Presence: My care begins when you need it (on-call start)—whether that’s bedside in a local hospital or the moment you cross your threshold at home.
The 12-Week Continuum: Honoring the Full Transition
While many focus only on the "first 40 days," we believe in supporting the full bridge to 12 weeks. This "second spring" of postpartum is when true rhythms are established, and our care deepens to meet your growing confidence.
Postpartum Wellness Visits
Restoration on your terms. These aren't your typical check-ins. Mimicking our prenatal yoga sessions, these visits meet you exactly where you are—usually on the couch or in bed.
Mindful Recovery: Optional meditation, gentle movement, and breathwork designed for the postpartum body.
The "Errand Runner": I’ll handle the last-minute runs for maternity pads, different bottle types for a tricky latch, or replenishing your organic cotton essentials.
Lactation Advocacy: While I provide foundational breastfeeding support, I act as your bridge to IBCLCs for complex issues, staying by your side to implement and supplement their care plan.
Investment: $45–$50 / hour (+HST)

Your "Expert in Your Pocket": 24/7 Connection

Preserving the Presence: A Visual Record of Your Recovery
Most photography focuses on the "perfect" pose. We focus on the journey.
The Journey Collection (New!): I capture a few raw, "film-style" digital shots during every visit from birth through 12 weeks. By the end of our time together, you have a documentary-style gallery of your real life.
Fresh 48: Capturing those fleeting first 48 hours in the hospital or at home.
Newborn & Family Portraits: Natural, documentary-style sessions.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
I frequently support families at Mount Sinai, St. Joseph’s, Michael Garron, and Sunnybrook, as well as home births across the GTA.
-
Absolutely. My experience includes supporting surgical recoveries and twin deliveries, focusing on physical comfort and emotional processing.
-
The three-month mark is a massive developmental milestone. We ensure sleep habits are solid and you feel physically restored before this transition ends.
-
While I am not a mental health clinician, a core pillar of my work is emotional attunement. I provide a non-judgmental space to process your birth story and the intense emotions of the fourth trimester. I am trained to recognize the signs of postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and can provide immediate, trusted referrals to specialized therapists in the GTA or Southern Georgian Bay to ensure you have a full circle of care.
-
Yes. Supporting twin births is a specialty of mine. Whether you are in a downtown condo or a home in North York, managing two (or more!) newborns requires a specific set of logistics. I help coordinate feeding schedules, tandem soothing techniques, and overnight care so that parents of multiples can actually get the restorative sleep they need to function.
-
Many parents miss the movement they enjoyed during pregnancy. My in-home wellness visits are designed to bridge the gap. We focus on gentle postpartum movement, breathwork for pelvic floor health, and guided meditation to calm the nervous system. These sessions are fully customizable and can be done right on your sofa or bed while I hold or feed the baby.
-
My standard rates are $45–$50/hour (+HST). For families outside my immediate Toronto West-End/Ossington radius—such as those in Aurora, Stouffville, or Muskoka—a travel fee may apply based on mileage. For extensive support in the Collingwood and Blue Mountains area, I often coordinate through my sister site, doulabythebay.ca, to ensure the most efficient care for your location.
-
Many private insurance plans in Canada are beginning to cover "Postpartum Care" or "Doula Services" under wellness or nursing spend accounts. While I recommend checking with your specific provider, I provide detailed, professional invoices that include all necessary business information for you to submit for potential reimbursement. For families with Carrot Benefits, I am already registered in their system for birth & postpartum doula support, so the claiming process is super simple.
